German is to be offered as the primary foreign language under the initiative 'Deutsch an 1000 Schulen' (German in 1,000 schools) at all 1,000 schools of the KV association in India.
Many Kendriya Vidyalaya students who chose to study German, did so believing it will give them a chance to visit Germany. At least for some, it now has.
The Goethe-Institut, Max Mueller Bhavan trains teachers in foreign language teaching methodology, gives KVs library starter kits and offers cultural programs and competitions.

Promotion of German language in our school:
1. German classes are held after school.
2. We have a separate German room for students.
3. A very good collection of German books.
4. German novels, grammar practice books, story books, books for learning German through games, dictionary, CDs for German listening practice etc.
5. 40+ students are enrolled in each class.
6. Many Students have participated in "German clicks" competition organized by Goethe institute and showing their interest in German language.
7. Students performed well in class activities and got good score in class test.
8. KV Noida is a PASCH School which means that it is provided with exceptional benefits such as Monthly workshop in MMB, Scholarships to go to Germany, and special advantages to those who studied in PASCH school and want to pursue further studies in Germany.
