JIGYASA is one of the major initiatives taken up by CSIR at national level for further widening and deepening its scientific social responsibility. It is a social scientist connect programme, having objective of extending the classroom learning and focusing on a well planned research laboratory based learning. Student Residential Programmes, Scientist as teachers and teacher as Scientists, lab specific activities/on site experiment, visit of scientists to school/outreach programmes, science & math clubs, project of NCSC( NATIONAL CHILDREN’S SCIENCE CONGRESS) and tinkering laboratories are some of the activities included under the programme.
Visits under this Programme:
1. In Session 2017-18: 50 Students visited the Institute of Genomic and Integrated Biology (IGIB).
2. In Session 2018-19: 20 Students from First Shift visited IGIB and 15 students from Second Shift visited NPL.
3. In Session 2019-20: 20 Students visited NPL.
